Are you trying to blame all of Germany just because of what they did in World War II? Is that the only thing you're gonna remember Germany for? There are plenty of better things to remember that country for than Nazis and whatnot like Oktoberfest and pretzels; I know Hitler was a bad person and actually coming from Austria he had a rather profound (though negative) effect on the people and there is no German to ever surpass the fame of Der Fuhrer, not even a famous footballer.
