My girlfriend and I love playing this game. Its easy to teach and learn, but there is also a deceptive amount of strategy. Having different combinations of cards available for purchase completely changes the strategies for each game. We have not bought any expansions yet, but look forward to the increased variety and tactics that new cards will bring to the table.
Ignore the baseless hate. This game is a lot of fun.

@curiousjapan Honestly? No. Even games like Puerto Rico have plenty of detractors.
This game seems to be universally loved. I have now played it on BSW, and it's cute, but very shallow, frankly.

Dominion is currently my favorite. The in-game card drafting mechanic and hand management are very fun. It is easier to get into Dominion than Magic The Gathering, because everything you need comes in one box. My favorite expansion is Dominion Seaside which comes with weighty metal coins used as counters for a couple of the cards. There are even some unofficial iPhone apps that can be used to randomize the 10 cards you play each game with.
