Could it be that the U.S Navy in 1973 while innoculating me numerous times with air gun type syringes at boot camp, where the next guy would get hit in the shoulder with the same gun. Sure I used drugs later on but that was after I was demonized that only dope fiends shareing spikes get the disease. Now they know woman at beauty salons can get it from unsterilized instruments. The public is warned because interferon sales are to profitable.

@AndrewWerdna1000 I don't understand. Who is going against whose moral code? If I understand correctly, someone with antisocial personality disorder does what he wants, and sees morals only as a handicap for other people. They have no moral code of their own to oppose, only the moral code others assume all people have. They aren't ashamed of being "bad" and don't see a reason to become "good".

@hurasane Good / Bad people is social labeling. Who is good? Who is bad? Antisocial personality disorder is a list of symptoms describing a person who is irresponsible, without conscience, remorseless, deceitful, unrestrained by laws, morals, or social conventions. How is that confusing? It's hard to treat because they aren't motivated to become more responsible and concerned for others. Not caring is part of the disorder, and they would have to care to try to change.

this guy doesn't deserve sympathy. Whats he done with his life besides having a prison term and hepatitis C? the authorities don't give a damn about people like this, its the sorry truth. I don't want to sound cruel but there are others who deserve more urgent treatment instead of this guy who would bite the hand who cured him if he thought he'd get away with it. "they violated my constitutional rights"like that's his main concern. Give me a break

chronic drug use and other risk taking behaviors often mark the lives of the anitsocial personality. i recently found out my 1st husband died of hepatitis c due to sharing dirty needles. he died the way he lived...drunk high alone and blaming everyone else never himself for what came to pass. this was someone with a lifelong history of behaviors indicating he was a sadistic sociopath. i often wonder about whom he might have killed before he died that the world will never know about

cmon your comparing an enzyme deficiency to a neurotic problem that was a horrible analogy that isnt sound. this condition is the hardest to diagnose and there isnt sufficient evidence that treatments do work. I took a psychology and this disorder is somewhat social labeling. Im taking pre med and pills dont always work, its the companies that rake in billions that dictate what is a disorder know a days after they conduct studies and get it past the fda , its pretty sad.
