Im watching old men play pool. What am I doing with my life?

Is Allen Hopkins doing commentary?

It's hard to say how Fats truly played, I met him back in last 70's, he didn't play that good then, above average but not professonal. He did not play in the professonal tournment held. I suspect he could hussle good because of the name.

efren would of left it inbetter shape on the last ball

Fats was a great showman. Crane was a great player. Willie Mosconi was , far and away , the greatest pool player of all time.
-
@misestrelka I think I know the one you are talking about, he says "I was always a hustler, there are many players better than me; pool fans just seem to love the way I shoot."
-
@Beretta9tt I still consider Mosconi to be the greatest pool player ever.

I've been trying to find this video of Fats talking about, how he knows nothing for playing for fun, only money... it's in black and white.
Some help? anyone...

@Beretta9tt fatts beat mosconi in the 7 ball lost the 9 ball 3-4 and tied in the 8 ball ,so don't think he cant play that's all apart of the hustle. if you beat all the pros its make it hard to get a money game .

Two of the best hustlers were George Rood and Don Willis.
Irving Crane was a many times champion. Don't know the number but the only reason he didn't have more titles is because he played with Mosconi. Fats would have no chance of outplaying him (maybe out con but never outplay).

Fats needed the pressure of a game being woth $4000 in the 1940's. Fats was a better hustler and gambler than a tournament player.
