Arthur, I really enjoyed seeing this - and I liked your cyberpup narrator given that infamous "on the internet nobody knows your a dog" cartoon that kick starts a lot of conversations on authenticity and identity ;)
I think the stand out element for me, as someone who works in an organization running online services, was your comment about how individual choice can be limited by others' design choices. That's left me with plenty to think about regarding how my sector makes design choices.

A captivating video, Arthur. The end impression is indeed a bleak one and conveys an influence from Hand's doom and gloom perspective. The democratic advantages of social media were only given a short mention but I liked your comment on how the limits of our "choices" have been predefined by others in what is more an illusion than real choice.

oh - was commenting without refreshing and didn't see this comment stream - but will leave my comment (even though slightly repetitive) anyway!
the illusion of choice, living in transition - many nice points and images, and I like how you've used Hand (in particular) as a jumping off point for your musings. The images seem equal in importance, if not secondary, to the audio narrative here, which was interesting - I wonder if we tune in more readily to speech than images when it is present?

It's a bleak vision Arthur, which I think works really well alongside the reading of Hand. Is the final segment a call for an outright rejection of global digital media? You use an intriguing selection of images, and I wondered at times whether the narrative detracted from these a bit - however the two together give a disturbing and uneasy sense of the digital landscape. I particularly liked the idea of social media as opiate.
No Sian, I don't feel any call to reject global digital media. It was more a reaction to Hand who for me overdid the gloom in making his case. I agree about the voice over but I have learnt from that. Thanks for your comment..
