i loved this movie -- dunno why critics slammed it!!

Is that true that the Israelis were going to nuke Syria? Because I remember at the peak of the war Israeli troops halted their advance for a little over a day and there was no explanation for it, this allowed Israel sufficient time to regroup and get reinforcements up to the Golan which led to the eventual capture of the Golan. Anyone care to explain or did the arab officers just make a major error?

I knew the figure would be a tad bit lower than 500,000. But some people round up too much and I'd might as well put it in a way that they won't have to be "confused".

@kanjiguy106 I was told it was 300,000 people, just saying... agree with you though.

@jayc1776 Anyone who says they'd rather have a Human die is a traitor. But I'd much rather have a self righteous American die than any other

Ending conflict with as few casualties as possible is the best way to go. The bombs did exactly just that in the Pacific front. Either kill 500,000 people, or lose millions on both sides.

"Jihad" is not a person or entity.

Frankly, what matters is that the nuke on Japan saved American lives. It'd be nice to consider the Japanese, but war isn't a time for being nice. Anyone who says they'd rather have had Americans killed is a traitor.

I just came to post a comment about how cool this intro is for a film and now we just have a typical youtube shitstorm full of half-cocked insults and brain-dead remarks.
lol
@masterboycblack They were the first and only times they've been used in war, and only because a conventional invasion of Japan would have meant much more suffering. U.S. Secretary of War Henry Stimson estimated 1.7 and 4 million Allied casualties, while Japanese casualties would have been up to 10 million. The Imperial Japanese Army had orders to kill all Allied POWs if an invasion happened.
So please stop with your prejudiced bullshit calling Americans crazy and stupid, 'kay?

@TheTongueTerrorist Wow. You believe Americans must quietly accept accusations of being "crazy and stupid," huh? That to do otherwise is "exceptionalist?" You're an asshole.
The ACTUAL records show that the "Big Six" were only trying to negotiate as early as July 30, not "months" before like you claim. There were also divisions within the Japanese leadership, which led to the attempted c'oup d'etat (the Kyūjō Incident) that would have kept Japan fighting to the bitter end.
