Dadawa is the artist name of Zhu Zheqin (朱哲琴), a Tibetan-inspired new age singer/songwriter, who is well-known for her vocalization. She was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.
Dadawa is sometimes referred as the "Chinese Enya".

Hi, I love Dadawa's music, thanks for posting this wonderful video, it was a very rare video,I couldn't remember I have seen it in Chinese TV 10 years ago, at that time I was a little girl, but I remembered her voice and some images from her MTV "sister drum", her music can always touch my soul, it can not be explained by any word...

Are you kidding!!!! If you think French TV is bad, what would you say about American and Canadian TV. I live in Montreal so we do get a bit more culture here but Dadawa would never make the light of day in the West. Thank god people post these videos on YouTube!!

One of my favorite singers, with Faye Wong ! It is really a big pity to see that Polish TV is more opened to foreign culture than french TV ! Impossible to imagine such music onto our TV stations, they prefer stupid bulk consumer music...

This music video was recorded by me about 10 years ago. Nowadays you can't hear this kind of music in Polish stations anymore... And that's is wrong :[

Toghether with being such a marvelous singer, she is also sooo cuuute!
But more than that, she is plain brave. Her music features just too manny traits of Tibetan culture for Chinese government standards, her career is an act of political dissidence. That is REAL art!
