@timoteijedi I'm not talking about metal now.and there is some good new metal out there if you open your mind..we didn't start using the term "metal" till the late 70'a early 80's.when I listen to Whole lot of Love..my first thought is..Metallica...When i listen to Iron Man...or Ace of Spades...you can here metal..Sabbath is to Metallica what Zeppelin is to Aerosmith..it's good heavy rock..but you would never say Van Hallen is metal. Like i said metal is more than how heavy you play

@nycbassist76 Dude, maybe compared to nowaday`s metal (which is crap) zepp are not metal anymore, but at that time what they were playing was the heaviest possible. Thats why they`re known as the very first heavy metal band.
