Testing using Magic Lantern on my Canon 550D.

http://magiclantern.wikia.com/wiki/Magic_Lantern_Firmware_Wiki

Still not used to the load of extra options Magic Lantern adds, and really have no clue how to get bulb ramping working, even after reading the user guide on the Magic Lantern website.

Used the intervalometer setting with 16sec intervals and bulb ramping disabled. Left the camera for about an hour, so got about 240 frames.

Frames stabilised in AfterEffects with some small noise reduction (only noticed the the last few frames were not stabilised just before uploading, thought it wasn't worth re-rendering out of AE just for this first test).
(the tiny cheap tripod I have seemed to shake every time the shutter went off, so some slight movement was noticeable).

  • @djsquare1827 In the magic lantern settings (pressing the bin button), on the shoot menu press the Q button on the Intervalometer setting to bring up the options. I tried it a couple of times, but it was unable to generate the s-curve, it was stuck at the beginning and kept retrying, but never got anywhere. Probably too dark to work.

  • I cant see any Bulb ramping setting in my latest magic lantern for 550d. Any idea how to activate it. I am already turning on my cam in Bulb mode but no luck. Thnx
