Now Sold, enjoy Phil, don't forget to let me know what it tops out at - it was still pulling hard at 160!!!!

Good to meet you and Steve today. Take care of it. G

Kawasaki ZX9R (E1). Year 2000 on an X plate. Blue, 24k miles. 1 previous owner, Completely standard original bike, never been dropped Meta Cat 1 immobiliser, Datatool digital gear indicator. Tax'd till October 2011 and Mot'd to September

I have all the previous MOT certificates to back up the mileage and an HPI clear certificate. Lots of history.

I've had the bike since April 2004 (bought from Ken's Motorcycles in Newcastle) and in that time I've covered about 1000 dry miles a year. It had about 18k miles when I got it. It's been to Holland (Assen) a number of times and also to the far side of Germany (Sachsenring) to MotoGP rounds, and a number of tracks in the UK for the British Super bike so most of the miles I've done have been on long touring weekends away with the boys.

It sat in the garage from about October 2009 (when I was doing an IAM course with the Scottish Borders Region Group) as I lost the desire to ride the bike as my wife was pregnant at the time. I no longer have the time to use it so would like to see it go to a new home.

It had a new pair of tyres on it prior to its 2008 MOT so they've seen maybe 1000 miles.
New battery last year just prior to the mot as the old one was getting tired. Has been kept on a trickle charger ever since (which will be included in the sale if the price is right).
There's also a hugger that I bought and never got round to fitting. Single seat unit that has been on the bike almost all the time I've had the bike and a fender extender.
It was serviced at the beginning of this month so ready to go for the summer

  • bike is fresh man !

  • Thanks Mate. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family. I had 165mph on the way home, but with the tank bag on i had no way of getting tucked in properly and that was as much as my face could take. My helmet was really begining to crush my head lol. I'll keep you posted on what she tops out at though.

Anyway thanks for a great deal and some superb hospitality. I'm really over the moon with her.

    Phil
