"we are losing our listening" "conscious listening creates understanding“
He gave us 5 ways to listen better. There are silence, the mixer, savoring, listening positions, and RASA(Receive/Appreciate/Summarize/Ask). In my opinion, people tend to want to say their stories rather than listen to others.

I ask my 8 year old son all the time 'what do you hear?'....also 'what do you see'? As a musician I know how important it is to listen, so since he was little I have tried to heighten his powers of perception. Love the talk and couldn't agree more about the importance of listening towards achieving peace in our world.

Humans stopped listening because I started talking.
Simply, humans refuse to listen to the truth. Which is fine when there's a world where no one is speaking the truth. But once there is someone who speaks the truth, humans have to create even more barriers to listening.
Even this guy knows that.

The reason he said that is because the speaker said nothing for or against spirituality, and thusly, you must not have listened to him.

the annoying thing is that schools don't teach you to listen but expect you to and punish if you don't
