Yeah I can definitely see that. The part about the "brick cell phone" was definitely odd too. Nobody uses a 20+ year old cell phone. This combined with Shannon's overall look with the tucked in shirt and tapered slacks also sends me a kind of late 80's, maybe early 90's vibe which for some reason seems kind of unsettling in a strange sort of way. Maybe that's just me.

Voice acting takes money and this is an independent game so it was done on a small budget by a couple of people. This is that rare kind of quiet, atmospheric game where I think it works better without voices. It's a very personal experience where you give the characters voices in your own head like reading a book.

It did.. you could make up your own voices and you didn't have to listen to some grating, flat or emotionless voice actor.. and I loved it!.. We need more "games" like these.

This game has a kind of mid 40's-50's aesthetic style to the art of the game, at least that's what it reminds me of anyways.

The art style and music are definitely intriguing. The music at the gas station after you turn on the power sounds a lot like the BGM for Electric Box 2. Speaking of, EB2 is a fan-fucking-tastic little game, where you arrange game pieces onto a board to try to complete a Rube Goldberg machine kind of thing to supply power from the source to the goal. It's great, and it's free on Kongregate, so you gotta try it.

The art style is similar to Journey if it were 2D looking like this but it reminds me more of a different game that I can't place the name of at the moment... It was a 2D or 2D-like game somewhat like this, but I dunno.. Neat game tho! Basement people. xD
