1999-00 Round 3/Game 7: Patrik Elias Goal(2)

The Flyers tied the game about 6 minutes into the 2nd period, and it seemed as if the game was destined for overtime.

But, late in the 3rd, Alexander Mogilny feeds Jason Arnott who tried to one time the puck on net, but partially fans on it. The puck rolls across the front of the net and Patrik Elias lifts the stick of Dan McGillis and swipes the puck past Brian Boucher to put the Devils up 2-1 late in the 3rd!

This was the finals right here. Dallas in 2000 wasn't as good as 1999.

this is one of the greatest moments of my life..ill never forget running to the car after my little league game to get home with 8 mins left in the game. was convinced this game was destined for overtime. still get goosebumps when i see this goal. thanks patrik!

@MAXIMONT not only did they lose their roster but the league instituted rules after the lockout geared toward breaking up the effectiveness of Brodeur's puck playing prowess( the trapezoid)(heavily promoted by the Flyers GM), The Penguins are only good now because they were cellar-dwellers in the early 2000s and picked up fleury malkin n crosby, pens are cool but their fans are too cocky, and Philthadelphia can never be a "really good" team if theyve lost their last 6 trips to the Finals. peace

@bumpi16 i have to agree because look at it.. ever since the devils won the cup in 03 they have done shit all in the playoffs the farthest theyve gotten since then is game 5 of the semis so since then the only really good teams in the pacific are the flyers and pens..

The link is always loaded with Cowboy fans everytime they play them in philly and none of them have southern accents! Lol! Also, New jersey Devil fans could care less about other fans coming to the game. The only reason Flyer fans come to the Devils` games is because you`re all starving for a winner! Lol!
