On October 28, 2011 at 11:55pm, a crowd of Rochester Police marched into the peaceful occupation of Washington Square Park to arrest the first protester. Rochester became the first city in New York state to forcibly evict protesters from a peaceful occupation of a public park. Protesters can be heard chanting "Don't do it!" and "Shame." A total of 32 protesters were arrested and charged.
