#1-12gauge(does it ALL) #2-.22rifle(food will be huge) #3-.30+ caliber rifle (bolt gun if in open lands like out west Semi-Auto for city/wooded areas) #4 .30+ caliber rifle (whatever gun was not #3... in the end you need a long range rifle and a closer range multiple quick shot rifle. Which ever takes precedent depends on your local environment..don't waste time with smaller caliber).#5semi-auto pistol (for those time you need to be sneaky..or just don't want to hold your rifle when you gotta p
#1 was very good. #2 and #3...not so much. Why would you not want a real round .308 or bigger? Need to kill a deer... need to kill someone with body armor.. seriously .223 is not worth the time. You want surety..and .223 does not bring that. Sidearm? Why do people keep putting that in the top three for WROL? I have a .30-06 you have a 9mm.... ready, set, go.... who's gonna kill who? Are you confident you're going to win? Also food= important.... throw a good .22 in and you eat forever.
We as gun owners really need to stop giving the media gas for the fire by referring to our ar 15s and AK type rifles as ASSAULT RIFLES.....if they are not full auto they are not assault weapons....just my two cents
in the urban area i live in i would have to choose an AK type rifle instead of the AR...if you ended up in a situation where you have to constantly move for food and shelter you might want a rifle with lower maintenance
If you want a heavy duty, long range, anti material, support rifle do some research on the PTRS-41 anti-tank rifle. the PTRS-41 is a semi-automatic anti-tank rifle that was used along the Eastern Front in World War II and then used again in the Korean War and Chines It was originally developed for the PTRS and PTRD anti-tank rifles, but was later used as the basis for the KPV heavy machine gun that formed the basis of the ZPU series anti-aircraft guns. in other words, its a big freaking bullet.
