  • trevino, palmer, faldo all claim to take the club away with the left arm only. I am a 3 handicap and have tried multiple takeaways. I recently came back to this takeaway and it seems to work allot better and im getting more power. I think it has something to do with the pushing of the club as opposed to the pulling that allows the right to fold better. Anyway, thank you for this video and confirmation of what i have doing to hit it more consistent and further.

  • This is very good advice- especially for those who struggle with the hinge. You can't hinge the club and plane it correctly without the elevation move. If the arms don't elevate after the initial pull back then you will struggle forever. In this takeaway, the hands will set later allowing the club to get planed properly without manipualtion. The club will be in good balance and you will be able to turn much better as the left arm and left wrist won't fight the shoulder turn.
