I have some awesome sounds from mine. I gig with this and people tell me all the time that my tone is very "Joe Satriani sounding". Clean sounds are also very brilliant, yet warm and serene. I don't play through an amp with any distortion wither. I actually run my GT-8 through the 'mic. in' on my PC, then speaker out to 2 RCA's into a stereo receiver. The stereo then has 4 speakers hooked up to it, this way I can play to backing tracks with great balances.

@Albee213 hello,I just didn't understand how do you connect the gt8 to your amp...you said no into the amp-input neither in the efx-loop...so I'm italian and I didn't get what you said after...maybe "stereo XLR input"?by the way what behringer is that?my amp is a peavey bandit112 first series and it has efx/loop and preamp IN/power amp OUT...how can I connect properly with the gt8 please?

@johnnyalonso1 Dude you're not kidding....I just got this thing and I have no clue what I'm doing. I have the ME-70 and it's cake...to figure this thing out, you need an engineering degree.

thats a bad ass guitar i cant seem to find it anywhere... where did u get it?
Scared the crap out of me when you grabbed the amp! I'm a computer science major and the GT-8 has me scratching my head looking like a moron. Some people who really know what they're doing seem to get some good sounds out of it, but I just can't seem to get good stuff from it. I'll try some of the stuff you mentioned and see if that helps anything.

@Kcducttaper1 Well good luck, if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. Just remember to put all the dials at noon and dont think about using the dist pedals, use the amps.

is this good for metallica and megadeth stuff?

@polishskaterdude32 yeah, I think so, thats what I mostly play. You can tweak this thing a lot, if you can get the new one, its better and easy to use.
