some pics from my collection remember most of these loads were moved before motorways infact you were lucky if there was a dual carriageway

  • I was there ! worked for Wynns late 60`s early seventies as a mate started on Camels , Pacifics , Contractors / Super Contractors , ended up steersman with driver Freddie Clifford and the AEC Mandator / King trailor.

    great days, but at the time hard work for such little pay.

  • Nice pictures..My dad worked for Pickfords from 1950 to 1965 as a fitter he worked on all the big stuff..the good old days
