Haganah shares a lot with Krav Maga, and Mike Lee has a belt in KM. KM right now, however, means many different things to different people. Variations by region, style, instructor, etc. Haganah is still small enough -- with a limited number of blackbelts and approved instructors -- that you're getting some good consistency with the method, system, and quality of instruction. Haganah uses whatever works -- from any source. No apology. But integrates into a pragmatic system. Good stuff.

I was wanting to get into self defense and not deal with a martial art school and their belt system, so i ran into the Hagana thing and looked more into it. Now that i saw your comment, i think i might join =D

Nope. Mike was my instructor once (no lie! hoping to go back to classes soon). It's called Haganah. "The Defense" in Hebrew.
Haganah is a very intense and realistic martial art. I took it for two years and learned a ton, and was toughened up pretty good. I would highly recommend!

@tjhaz. Krav Maga is used as the foundation for hanagah. There's also a kavanah as well.
