This is a common creationist claim: a 6,000 year old Earth is based on absolutely NO science and goes by tracing the descendants of Adam and Even from the Christian Bible.

Like Intelligent Design Creationism, this is not only completely retarded, but dangerous. This STATE SENATOR votes against environmental protection and for mining uranium based on her beliefs that the Earth is 6,000 years old, instead of the scientifically proven 4.5 billion years.
