@YezdiRK when storys and thoughts first started being transcribed with written languages socrates claimed that it would destroy the human capacity to think and remember, a way of cheating thoughts. with the advent of musical instruments the classical composers where released on society. With every knew form of technology humans have expanded their creative ability and potential, we are not experiencing the death of the artform but its rebirth as an emotional artistic outlet of the people

I particularly enjoy your compositions and subject matter.

First for the neg comments concerning The Arts! Who decides what is or is not Art? I am pretty sure you and others like you do not! That said, I myself am very similar in site and mind. I enjoy most shooting structural images that lead the mind where it has not gone before or revisits places it often over looks. It is most often only possible when done in B & W ! Thanks Lance, nice work (s)!

I have my personal opinions. I prefer film after watching a comparison over a Rolleicord vs a Digital SLR Canon. The rusty old Rolleicord won, and i fell in love with the old analogue.
analogue cameras won't die anytime soon; indeed, digitals are cheaper to maintain, and you don't need to spend cash on film and on a dark room, but it's the same as Vinyl vs CD...Vinyl wins by a longshot.
Besides, i still love doing my thing in a dark room, i just love analogues.
nice shots, though ;) +1 +1

Just beautiful.
I was not talking about the death of film. I was lamenting the death of art with the rise of digital cameras.

I stopped paying attention to the vast majority of other people's work a long time ago... Too many people think they know how to take a picture when in reality they don't even know the basics of light and shade... or what makes for an interesting subject...

The shear volume of material now available has watered down the significance of the art as a whole.... The same thing has happened to the music buisness... too many untalented people creating sub-par quality music by using technology and processing to overcome a lack of natural skill... I.E. Autotuning...

There were many photographers of yesteryear shooting film and are respected even to this day Now every tom dick and harry has a 5d or D3x and has his or her own website.....and proclaims will never go back to film. all have exceptional photos. all are great....or nobody is great. Digital cameras killed the great art of photography!!!!! Just a rant about current state of this art. But i like your composition skills. BTW how many photos did you click to get one successful photo?

@YezdiRK
On film, my shooting ratio was about 125 to 1... on digital its about the same...
The real difference is in how I approach taking the photo in the first place... not having to worry about cost makes a huge difference. Also, having instant access to the image on sight allows me to confirm when I have a good shot and I can move on... instead of wasting more time and film "just to be sure you got it...etc"
its the economy of digital that killed film...

would this also be the "shadow & light" in photography?? because in my Digital Photography class were are learning about that, and its basically shooting in black and white... What these be considerede the same to what i learning?

Shadow and light are technical elements of a photograph. It applies to both color and B&W but it is far more important in B&W photography. Tone graduation and contrast are also very important in B&W images.
