London Mayor Boris Johnson makes two big gaffes in 24 hours!

This clip from BBC London on Thursday 19 June 2008, kindly sent in by a BorisWatch.co.uk reader, shows how Boris is not the one running London - he doesn't know what's being done in his name and doesn't even know about a key public document relating to the funding of the Olympics!

The first report is about the Olympic document, about which he said on Radio 4: "I rather doubt it exists"!

The second report features a shocking clip from Tuesday, after 48 hours of controversy in both online and national printed media (e.g. the Guardian) about what his office claimed was his own decision to axe the anti-racism message from the annual Rise: London United Against Racism festival. Despite all the controversy around this, when he was approached by BBC London on Tuesday, he had clearly never heard about this decision, let alone taken it himself! In fact it appears he's never heard of the Rise festival!

It's clear that the Mayor a million Londoners elected in May 2008 is not the man who's actually running London. What we don't know is who is, nor why they would choose to do such controversial and offensive things and blame them on him.

I think Boris is great. He's an absolute clot but he has a certain charm that nobody else in politics can match. I think Boris should be the leader of the tories, with that, the next PM our downtrodden shit hole of a nation. Gordon "wanker" Brown could only dream of having a hundredth of a percent of the charisma and charm of this human/sheepdog hybrid.
