Actually I'm the love child of a four way between Tony Hawk, Patton Oswalt, Stone Gossard and Sly Stallone. And I think it's significant the syllable "ohn" is in all those names.

If you are looking for a separate octave (up+down) the EQD Bit Commander is great, so is the foxrox Octron (I have demos of both). For a fuzz+octave the new EQD Hoof Reaper is also amazing, and particularly good at staying defined.

Sure, why not? This pedal, if anything, is a bit easier to dial in with humbuckers I'd say.

Yes, it is a very particular taste, and not for everyone. It can create some really interesting textures though.
