Watch Coast Guard Helicopter 6551 from Barbers Point, Hawaii train with District 14's top Flotilla - Maui #26, drop a line, cable and rescue bridle to the bow of one of Maui's US Coast Guard Auxiliary Vessels today. Auxiliarst Jeff Dykstra is up front hauling the line in while Savitri Carlson secures it. In front of me is OTO Brian Leavy on his last mission before retirement. You can see the intensity in Captain Don Burn's face to maintain his heading while 70 mph winds from the Helo are pushing our 39' Safe Boat vessel "Seafire" around. Jeff's wIfe Cynthia Dykstra waits her turn for the next shift behind me. Video by Auxiliarist Steve Goldsmith.
