  • I'll never forget that tackle!! Awesome !!

  • @ronaldinhollew he played for england in 2007 - so only a 2 year gap, and wilkinson was younger when he made his england debut. the tackles didn't destroy him mentally at all. the coaches just realised he wasn't ready yet.

and 'put him in his place'? it basically boils down to henson winning one scrum for wales, and it's hardly like tait had been bigging himself up.

  • Im English and i have to say, what a tackle.

  • what the fuck are you talking about wales has nothing to do with you as a person let alone the fact that i could say nhs wouldnt be here without a welsh bloke you knob head

  • wales is still only a country because of England, this also applies to Scotland and Ireland so to the rest of the world, a message from England, 'Your Welcome'.

  • @theKilmaestero a little bit harsh.

  • Well, if that's the best tackle you've ever seen you either don't watch much rugby or you have a man-crush on Gavin like far too many Welsh supporters.

I mean, how can it be the best tackle if there's a huge mismatch in weight in favour of Henson over this 18-year-old kid and his execution is pretty poor? Just recently I watched Isa Nacewa pick up and drive then dump the massive Sebastian Chabal three yeards infront of me, and that was tackling perfection. Get out more!

  • hensons best game for wales and really up-ed his profile brilliant tackle

  • @theKilmaestero wales? never been... why? becuase its full of foreighners.

  • @beidlgsicht His name's Matthew Tait.

This was his debut for England, and before the game the English media were bigging him up, saying he was going to be the next big thing. He was 18 years old and the youngest player ever to represent England.

After this match he went nearly 4 years without getting another England cap. These tackles destroyed him mentally. He's not a terrible player, and has done well at 7s, but Henson really put him in his place that day.
