These comments start at the bottom. I was kicked out of this church because I asked why there was so much emphasis on money and success there. I was told that they believed that God wants us to make lots of money and that if he didn't 'what was the point' by church leaders there. The evidence Gerald gives for his preaching from the Bible, look up what he says in the video, he is seriously stretching the Bible or twisting it when compared to other opposing scripture that is never mentioned there.
Your preaching is more like secular babble such as Dr. Phil gives and your 'followers' who consider themselves leaders because you tell them they are listen to you to fit in. Christ did grow in stature among men and God but only for a time. He later accuses the Pharases of seeking approval from men and not God. Seeking approval from men is evil. Seek God's will in your life if you are reading this, not the mob in your church. People out there need to hear about Christ, not money and fitting in.
Your membership course informs new Christians that spiritual living is welcomed and practiced by your church, but it is never taught, talked about or welcomed (even prayer for others if it involves the Holy Spirit or Blood of Christ was discouraged). A friend who brought this up in your Wisdom for Life courses unintentionally started an argument when he brought this up as most of his classmates and the instructior did not believe in spiritual gifts.
You have no formal elders at your church, only young and inexperienced people who have no time to look up from their iphones and blackberries to actually listen or help others in a genuine fashion. They instead enjoy asking people with any questions to simply leave the church if they do not agree with what is taught there 100% (very disturbing).
While I attended your church, people there were afraid of witnessing and helping the lost and homeless just outside of the doors in Tacoma and could not come up with any reasons or ways to help them, only excuses why they shouldn't.
Your books (and Joel Olsteen's by the way) promote a 'self help' version of Christianity that is not based on Grace but on works alone and they are very condemning of those who do not measure up.
Your website states that tithes and offerings go toward programs and events that are done completely out of pocket by those who participate (I know, I used to participate in them).
Here is your duel. You neglect straight forward scripture like Christ stating in Matthew 'you cannot serve God and wealth' and Habbakuk chapter two (and a hundred or more other examples I will be willing to post here if you would like) that talk of the foolishness and arrogance of those who pursue God for money (Paul said such people were his enemies and false).
(comments start at the bottom) Oh, one more thing. I did not hear the name of Jesus in one of your videos on this site.
