This is a song of a man 2 his wife. He loved his wife but he chose to follow his dreams & fulfill it.He took d road pave in green He spent more time with his work, earning money. Never realizing that he is taking her 4 granted.Until 1 day his wife dies. That’s when he realizes how much he loved her, too late she is gone. D only thing that was left is her ashes & a small spark from her glow, her memories. Even though she is gone, he doesn’t want her to stop remembering him and his love for her.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thanks for you thoughts in the song. I was going in circles.
Now listening to it after both of your comments it seems to
make sense. Damn love is so confusing even in songs...Thanks. Cassidy

@CowGirlBaby2 The girl left him and the guy still loves her. Thats the meaning of the song.He wants the girl to remember him even if they live their separate lives.

it's really hard to fall in love to someone who is not free... who cannot reciprocate the love he give.

@mel0501 Thanks i needed that...I was so confused but then love can do that to you.....Cassidy
I am confused with this song he doesn't want her to stop remembering him.
He had such a love for this person & says even though she's not there his mind knows she's not there but his heart doesn't care. But yet his love still lives on & his memories. Did he realize he fell in love with the wrong person? u can't stop remembering if it's a true love. So she's gone he wants her to not stop remembering. The love still lives on & the memories fade. So now his alone?
Was this a one sided love?

This came out in early part of 1983. April of 1983 i first heard of this song and immediately loved it- the sweet melody and the beautifully written words it was in iligan city, Philippines. i was just 17 years old then. i miss those times. i miss my youth. i miss msu-iit.
this song also reminds me of my uncle, 40, who was killed at that time during the height of subversion. this was always played on the am radio. wala pang fm station sa iligan back then. kkk...
