  • Hello, thank you very much for nice lessons. I was wondering what exactly "il y a" means? Is it similar to "there is/there are" in english language?

  • Yes. Go on.

  • Briega53, my compliments for your lessons! I try to learn French myself, your videos are a great help for me.

I'm a teacher as well. Although I teach Dutch. If you watch my profile you can see I made 5 lessons until now.

You do a great job, although people are complaining. People are always complaining! It's not easy to create a lesson, I know it through personal experiences.

    Keep up the good work

Btw. I set off the option to reply on my videos, it saves you lots of nasty messages.

  • Thanks. I watched your profile (and did not know how to send you a message, so I reply here, but have no idea if it will be relayed). To set off comments would have some benefits, but it would be rude for students who truly want to learn. And their questions help me to improve my teaching. But you're right: I could do without the whiners!

  • Erm isnt this more of a suppementary video? i wouldnt begin teaching students french by saying.....the sun.....the moon......stupid things like that. start with greetings and small conversations mate. structure is not as good as foundation.:P but thanks anyway.

  • What makes you think that your way of learning is universal?

Almost all methods start with greetings and "what's your name" blahblah. Their failure rate is above 50%.

Can that mean that more than 50% people need to understand what they are going to learn before they can learn it? I don't know; what I know is that, as a teacher, it's my job to do my best to pass on what I know. This way was not explored. I explored it, and it works.

Not for everybody, of course. Alas.

    i neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to learn french!!!!!!!!!!!!

    please helppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

  • great videos!! I ♥ french. Are you french?

  • Thank you! This is a much more engaging way of learning than having it spoon fed to me. I don't know a lick of French but there is a logical progression to this lesson, and since phrases don't always translate perfectly, it gets more at the meaning than the translation.

  • thank the people who make language learning easier. there is always french radio on the internet to learn the language
