Little Rocket Man Achievement

I decided to complete all the achievements in Half-Life 2: Episode 2.
Among these was the achievement 'Little Rocket Man' which involves launching the Garden Gnome you find at the start of the game into space.
I decided to chronicle the adventure and this is the final product.

Wish I could be bothered to do this. I completed the episode a few days ago but didn't know where the gnome was. When I found out I was amazed that it was at the start! I thought he might be at most halfway through.

By the time I realized I'd missed the gnome, I was at the rocket.

It's a fun achievement to go for, but there are bits that will make you cry.

I didn't know if I could leave the gnome with Alyx, so I took him into the tunnels. Being chased by the Guardian while firing the gnome blindly down tunnels is taxing.

Even worse though was the chopper chase with the gnome in the car. Any small bump, hard turn or shot would send the gnome flying out of the car. Getting out to retrieve him would result in getting myself shot to pieces. To top it off, I left him in a nice safe corner to fight the chopper, and when I went back - he was gone!!

The hardest thing to do during the playthrough is the trainyard map, because you can't take extreme turns with the Gnome inside the car, and it's hard to carry him with the chopper shooting at you.
