Wheels are back from the powder coater. Installed front/rear wheels, front brake, fueled it and fired it up. Wrapped pipes and took for a test ride.

  • I know this was a long time ago, but do you remember how much it cost you to have your wheels powder coated and relaced over at HDwheels?

Thanks Bro love what you did with this bike.....sorry you had to sell it.

  • @rstscott Yeah, it was tough to sell it. My daughter gets her braces in a couple of weeks. The wheels were the most expensive cost to the mod - around $1000. That was for disassembly, powder coat the hub, rim, and spokes (one coat maroon and one coat clear candy apple red), new spoke nipples, reassembly, and shipping.

I rode a lot in the raid and the chrome nipples started to rust.

  • sir your videos have been very educational. i just recently purchased my first motorcycle its 09 nightster. i watched all of your mod videos they helped me out alot as far as seeing how to do many of the things you did thanks!

  • @conquerthisbeech - @conquerthisbeech - Congratulations! Have fun with your bike and ride safe. Glad you enjoyed the videos.

  • @astonvrider I don't know if it deteriorates the metal or not - or whether is adds any function. But it looks cool as hell IMO. No problems.

  • @bdorr67 Really like the look of your bike. I'm in the process of changing my Nightster into an old school bobber. Putting the exhaust wrap seems like a logical choice, but was wondering if you had any issues (problems) since you've had them installed. Been reading various forums, and opinions (as usual) are mixed. Some say it deteriorates the metal over time; others say, besides aesthetics, not very functional unless you do a lot of drag racing. Any input would help. Appreciated.

  • You guys have a good taste of music

  • Those wheels look SO nice. Wow, man. Good choice!

  • @hippiessuckit - Good one. Working on my friends '05 Sportster and now I'm the expert. Go figure.

  • Wow! You've got some pretty good friends there! How do I become friends with them so they can work on my bike?? ; )

    Looks and sounds great man!
