@TheFlyposter So you are saying it is impossible to A) control the impact site and B) to place devices that are shielded from heat/impact at or near the impact site?
Note that both have to be true, since if A) alone is false B) becomes irrelevant and if B) alone is false A) becomes irrelevant.
I don't think you know what the word "impossible means". It DOES NOT mean "if true then fact which I disagree with a priori may be true".

The water in you ears stops the eardrum from reacting, the sound and pressure wave is still there. Whales and dolphins communicate over 100's of miles under water.

Correct they would either ignite, or be dislodged or both, either way you could not rig a controlled demolition to start at the impact zone over an hour later, this is impossible.
