@thenmark2 The economy had recovered under Reagan around 1983. We haven't recovered yet under Obama, and with Clinton; most of the period where the economy had turned around coincided with the Republicans controlling the House.
Also, the economy started declining near the tail end of Clinton's administration.

If Martin Scorsese didn't do all the cocaine that fuled him to do the movie "Taxi Driver", he wouldn't of had casted Jodie Foster, John Hinckley wouldn't of had obsessed over her and he never would have tried to impress her by killing President Reagan. Which means Reagan was never empowered by surviving an assassination, thus making him lose to Mondale in '84 and 47 days into his presidency he would've handed complete control over the US to the Soviet Union... just sayin... its pretty obvious.

Hey, does anyone have the commercial from 84 where kids have the 'Regan Admin' on trial for driving the country bankrupt and the old man in the witness box is muttering ' We thought it was the right thing to do ...."? That was a good one.

In 1984 while I was atending Oregon State University, I was on the Mondale for President Campaign as Mondale was 100,000 times better Preseident to lead the US than Ronald Reagan.

What's funny about this video is that by 84 Russia already had one orbiting satellite that was armed (We had none) and in 85 , attempted to launch a first-strike able version with 14 nukes on it.
