This is perhaps the only thing that could have made Quincy an even better show. Well, that and Jack Klugman in drag. But that's just me.

One can point out how most of the guest stars on Matlock have apparently gone nowhere, but that show's still here so far, while Quincy has apparently run its course. The writer who submitted the Quincy article to Wikipedia, which had a link to this video, pretty much boiled down the formula. When's the last time any cable channel, like TV Land, run it?
