An Injustice for Battery Hens

During November and December 2005, a COK investigator was employed at Esbenshade Farms in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.

The video footage was then presented to a state certified humane officer.

In January 2006, the officer charged the owner and manager of this egg
factory each with a total of 70 counts of criminal animal cruelty.

Despite the clear evidence of cruelty, in June 2007, the court found the
defendants "not guilty."

I never eat chicken anymore and this is why. Only a video like this will ever make people realise how cruelly and unfairly chickens are treated in this world. This is one of the most informative and revealing videos on YOUTUBE - well done. People need to know that chickens deserve so much better

this makes me feel sick to my stomach. no living creature deserves to be treated in this way. Please do your bit and buy free-range eggs, the extra cost is worth the peace of mind of knowing that no animal had to suffer for your food.

This literally makes me cry :-(. I have nightmares about being in the middle of a battery hen factory farm. How come the goverment can't respect chickens how dogs and humans are treated? Even scientists know that battery hens suffer greatly. Don't get me wrong, raw eggs are a great source of nutrition, but go out in the forest and find some eggs, if you want eggs. Agriculture should be shunned!
