The Boeing 787 Delay Liner FIRST FLIGHT PLANE CRASH flying into disaster first flight nightmare embarrassment flight air crash investigation mayday

After even more consideration, there are certain parts that should never be made out of Carbon fiber. I really hope Boeing knows the difference. The misapplication of carbon fiber could be catastrophic. It is not large tubular body sections, it would be the joints and connection plate areas. I wonder if there are mutual deformation tests that show that all carbon fiber parts are deforming similarly regardless of construction, my guess is no. This raises concerns about loading transfers, and again about the brittleness of connection points where loading can be amplified. Again it is all in the proper application of the materials, and the control of the load transfer surfaces in the aircraft. If something begins to fail, how does this change overall loading and how can this be perceived. I think visual inspection is inadequate and some other testing regimes seem burdensome. I think ultrasound robot drones could comb the aircraft and perform routine testing. Essentially we are looking for cracks in the epoxy which would result in unanticipated loading and subsequent acute failure.

  • 787; delay liner Money Maker

A350: Lego liner Still 2 and half years BEHIND 787

A400M: Money loser , Delay Freighter

    A380 Money Loser liner Guaranteed

E very Plane has a story.... SO WHAT!

  • @fortchester42

787 MAKES MONEY YEP... at least to a bunch of airliners in terms of the millions od dollars in compensations that Boeing HAD to pay them, during 2 years of delays...

A350 XWB...Its industrial launch was 4 years later than 787=2 years regained...

A400M: Not a single order lost, unlike the 200 orders cancelled for the 787...

    A380: Idem...LOL

  • I don't get what the complaint is. Looks like a normal run-up/ramp test to me.

  • @416to613

No complaint...just a 30 months retarded plane that still has 12 months ahead for FAA certification, if it manages to survive it.

  • If I were buying this plane I would be pleased with the wait, as all good things must not be rushed, or really bad shit happens and thats what ya get for being in a hurry. Technology advancements don't happen overnight people! This will be a great aircraft, have a little faith will ya......

  • Airbus? Never heard of 'em.

  • Oh look, another 6 month delay on the A350...

  • So what exactly is so bad about delays?

  • Well, there's one 787 out the door.

  • It's been delivered. Oh, and look! Airbus's next plane will be very similar in construction to the 787...

  • @arsenium666 The 787 hasn't been delivered yet.. why don't we just wait and see how it will do in the long run? All things considered, Boeing did do a good job. The Boeing PR did a shitty job.

    How's the A380 doing? Wasn't the A400M delayed?

Both manufacturers have their ups and downs, but really what's the point of exploiting their cons? Clearly you like aviation.. what's the point in hating one mfctr.? They both paved the way to modern commercial aviation, after all.

  • @arsenium666 The Dreamliner is not retarded, the Boeing PR people are. They were too progressive with the original deadlines and seemed to have failed to consider that this was Boeing's first foray into Airbus's method of construction--everything that went wrong did go wrong.

  • If any of you clowns had a clue of what it takes to receive FAA, TC or JAA aircraft type certification you might understand why it is so difficult to bring a new design to market. Should Boeing or Airbus one day decide to hire ignorant aeronautical engineer wash-ups, they should look no further than this comments sections...

  • wow. i can't believe the incompetence of thousands of workers attempting to make a radically new airliner. unbelievable

  • @arsenium666 thats why boeing still has over 650 orders for the 787-8 right? and for the same size aircraft airbus has 160 somthing go back to switzerland and live your shelterd life

  • @Funfisique haha
