Gear Demo - Mesa Boogie Rectoverb #2

Tried this again .... not sure if it's any better than the first one, but I'm hoping the compression won't kill it.

Try B & A as open major variants at the 7th and 5th frets.

1) Always pull open back cabs off the wall, the speakers breath and give a third dimension to your sound.

2) Also, using a camcorder mic is not recommended. They are notorious for compressing (badly) your signal and clipping when the decibels get a little high.

3) If your mic is not in front of the Mesa's speakers your audience hears your room sound added to the sound of the room they are listening in.

So, amp away from wall + good mic - bare feet (they don't demo well - germs?) = great demo.

yeah mine's a series one as well. I'm quite pleased with it. I haven't gotten to go full bore at all yet, vol passed 2 yet...lol LOUD.

I got the trio now. Mesa (rect-o-verb) Marshall JCM2000 (DSL100MLB 2009) and Peavey 5150 (face and bias mod.) II can die relatively happy now...still love a Cobra and an Invader though.

I need to open her up completely though and deoxit the circuits and D5 the connections and sockets. the retainers for the power tube both broke on me but, that's the extent of weak points,lol. you can get 2 new ones for about $250 which i'll do. through the 2x12 140 watt cab with the older and better made V30's it's just heaven. Fender on one side and articualte and harmoniclay dense 5150ish on the other...can't beat that other than an Invader or Cobra....those aren't worth the price.the rec is

I got my rectoverb Head it's a V1. I loved it but, it had been stored for awhile and needed cleaned. I retubed the pre. GT 12AX7's for V1&V3 and a vintage 7025 from an old Sunn. put a new GT PI in and HOLY CRAP. Fender cleans to recto gain! I need new power tubes but, i'm so happy with it i'm going to possibly trade off the 5150 head for another one or toward a Dual rec. I need a footswitch though if you know anyone with an extra let me know please! This really is such an all arounder...
