MPC The Who's Tommy: Encore 1988

"Wow", shouts Vince Salazar at the top of the Tommy Encore - "Pinball Wizard", and if you listen closely, Vince also awards the audience with a "You got it, Monterey!" after his solo spot, to which the crowd whistles and cheers in support of its award. Vince always understood the audience. There's some fun footage of the cast and crew being directed by non other than John Stevens during the closing night photo shoot, followed by some rare National Geographic Footage of an actual "Strike", a violent, blood curdling event. It's been a pleasure watching this once in a lifetime production - thank you John Pasqualetti for the vision, Dan Beck for the lights and stage, Loraine Olson for stage managing, David Rigmaiden for sound, Connie Gramiere for costumes, Tom Ayres, Patrick McGilvray, Martin Severin, Marc Turner for the musicianship, all the people behind the scenes - shop and crew - and most importantly, the cast, for giving far more than 100%.
