Our trip to Black Mountain Tower aka Telstra Tower in Canberra, ACT, Australia

Basically this video comprises of our drive up Black Mountain, some pictures, the ride up the elevators, the view from the observation deck as well as the open viewing area upstairs, the ride down the elevators, and more pictures. The tower was opened on May 15, 1980. Our car is a Hyundai Getz (aka Atoz) from April 2005, manual transmission, 3-door.
The Elevators are Otis Lexan Traction elevators from 1980, which travel at about 4 metres per second (or 790 ft/min), and have a capacity of 1600KG (or about 3530lbs). They have a fun speed delta, which makes them fun to ride. They serve 3 levels, being Ground, Cafe (Patrons Only - locked), and Observation Deck, and are completely original to the building
