Gaming Mysteries: Ura Zelda Redux (N64)

The 64DD initially held a lot of potential. Potential for bigger games, as well as additional content. One such game to feature additional content was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The expansion was called Ura Zelda and it would add new dungeons, quests, and items to the game. Find out all about it in today's Gaming Mysteries.

some people actually own the dd. So i was wodnering if you knew how they might have gotten them.

@bapear1 Well if I'm to understand correctly, cause well, I don't live in Japan, the accessory saw a very limited release only in Japan. I think the only way you could get them was through some subscription service and maybe in some stores, but yeah, very limited release. These days you can purchase a 64DD on sites like Ebay for ridiculous amounts of money. Last bundle I looked at was priced at 1500 dollars, which is too rich for my blood.

@Yuriofwind I just found one for $750 with all the games released for the 64DD on ebay, first one if you search nintendo 64 dd on ebay.

@QuintMarvel The Master Quest is on the 3DS version, but I never used it so im not sure what changes there are for it. :P

@Yuriofwind some one has used the dd with their n64 and put oocarina of time in the cartrage slot and at the title screen it says (in english or jappanese i cant remember) please insert ura zelda O.o

I'm not far in Master Quest 3D, so I'm not sure how much of Ura, if any at all, is in the game...
