  • Sorry, that's Leacy brothers.

  • Hey, does anyone know where I can find an original copy of he Battle Royal, that the Leacy brother put on in '99? I got a copy when it first came out, but it got crushed when I was moving some furniture. I'd like an original copy, because the cover was dope.

  • Leacy knew how to throw it down back in the day. R.I.P Leacy you will be missed

  • yeah thanks to skam1 (real recognise real) for uploading, and to forrest for telling it like it is. It says something when certain tracks in break culture are known as Leacy joints (love to the world, soulwanco, ever ready). He would have liked that.

I remember a phone conversation where he first played me "Tejas" down the line and then told me how he tricked another digger into revealing the track name. Yet he would rarely reveals titles himself. Jim was TRUE school through and through!

  • @dailydiggers you are so right about the wannabees today. The break game has gone to shit on the mainstream b-boy circuit. I work full time at Big City Records in NY/NJ and I see so much fake stuff going in hip-hop it isn't funny. People always wanting to come in the store and do interviews in front of cameras when they don't shop really shop here and don't really buy records. Some people even think they raised the bar past what James put down. All of it is disgusting. Truth will shine tho

  • I seriously miss this guy, all the prank calls, record talk, the diggin mission in the Bronx, hanging out on my trips to London. This dude raised the bar in the b-boy scene. Props to Leacy, Skye, Nucleus, The P-Brothers. B-beats at their finest.

  • rest in beats Jim, you rocked the wheels like no-one else. I miss you as a true friend, as the serious joker that you were, and as THE king of the break doubles. You were doing it yeeeears before all these wannabees today LOL. Only now do the people recognise your greatness. See you on the b-side homeslice, KID DYNO

  • Leacy was the break king ..nobody can ever say shit..that guy changed the way dj's spin and choose their breaks. He was a real good hearted man and nothing bad can ever be said about him ..he was the nicest guy!

    RIP KING LEACY !

  • I got to Rock while he was playing at a club at miami pro am in 2000 he played The best Breaks. R.I.P
