I think you misunderstood my argument. The point I was trying to make was that every soldier knows the possibility of stop-loss, and signs anyway. When I signed everybody from up and down left and right told me about IRR, actual enlistment, and stop-loss. The movie gave the impression that this was something new to soldiers, illigal, and not in the contract...the reality is if you are stop-lossed, you know months in advance.

That's a pretty idiotic argument to make. Inactive ready reserve (IRR) is only used during national emergencies, as stated in the contract. I do not consider mismanaging a war follow suit under this. However, I do agree with you that this movie is bullshit. Instead of trying to find any one thing to discredit this movie upon maybe you should have made a more logical point that no soldier would have been stop lossed within one week after returning from war, as the movie depicts.

this movie is an inaccurate description of the war, the military, and soldiers. Every soldier signs the contract that says that no matter how long you enlist for, you still have an 8 year obligation, and the army can extend your enlistment if they need to. everybody knows this before they sign. I did before I signed. If you are not comfortable with that, then dont sign. This movie is so inaccurate on so many levels about what things are really like. Thats what happens when MTV makes these movies

Add cheating on his wife to that list too!
Best comment on YouTube...I agree.
This movie isn't just about policies, it's about the effect it has on the other people in his life. I served my country proudly and defended the constitution. The war is bull****

I agree. American citizenry are not into "thinking." The latest cell phone or friend outing is much more interesting and important the mainstream. We're a nation of fat-ass gobbling consumers.
