@redpanda2401 I also believe Sirius has something to do with it. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky besides the planet Venus. But it could just be that Orion is an extremely attractive constellation for us...every culture has this constellation in one form or another, from a drum (in Japan) to our (Egyptian/Greek) human-like one. They are extremely distinctive stars.

@stilettosandshades thats crazy... because i been watching history's show "the universe" and they point out that Orion has dying and forming stars.... "the pharoah dies ... and is reborn"... weird............ its found in season 2 ep 24 Constellations... by the way this is the only theory about the pyramids that actually makes sense and you spelled pharaoh wrong... you said 10 years of what.... lol jk jk jk

@redpanda2401...only thing i can think of is siruis...the brightest star in orion..and the chain of stars were seen clearer then any other star system during that time

my wierd theory is this: atlantis was older than ancient egypt, and atlantis was under the sphinx, then maybe after the greatflood it buried atlantis and dust storms covered the water and turned to sand .............o.O

@redpanda2401 i can't believe no one has answered your question yet. In the pyramid texts, it says that when the pharoah dies, he travels (by iron ladder no less, or what the ancient egyptians called heavenly metal) to a star in Orion (I can't remember which one) and is reborn there just as Osiris was and every subsequent pharoah afterwards. I have been reading about this for over 10 years and I firmly believe that this is no tomb.

if one day humans have the capability to visit another habitable exoplanet, what evidence should we leave that can withstand time?
-
the orion could be a place where they live. just like the golden record on the voyager 2 telling us where are we from.

"..it has not been given permission". By whom? Who decides this?
-
Who came to earth and was given dominion over it ?
Who was given power over all the earth`s kingdoms ?( started the first kingdom?)

OK, here's a thought, and its been bugging me, If we are to believe that the Pyramids were based on Orion 10500 yrs BC, when there are quite a few constellations in the heavens, Why was Orion picked out ?, If this was a deliberate choice then why ? is it supposed to mean something to us in this day ?was it a warning ? Why would they (whoever they are) leave this pattern and build it to last ? (please Only decent constructive comments)
