About a week ago I was lucky enough to capture a new bird...A GOLDCREST.
Tiny greenish bird,He has a gold colour petal on his forehead...His movements are quick and you can see he has big eyes..
Agile feeder among leaves, searching for insects...not a feeder or birdtable bird..
BUT I was lucky to capture this bird to my camara...

  • Yeh there a lovely bird, i was lucky to see one whilei was out fishing, its a beautiful bird, it was swinging upside down on a branch very confidently next to me. i put my rod down and just watched it, hopefully more are adapting to the uk climate so we have more that stay here as residents rather than them migrating back to there roots.

  • Thanks for watching and you are very lucky to see that bird very closely..

    All the best for you..

  • I also had a Goldcrest in the garden for the first time ever a few weeks ago - before the snow, but it did not go on the feeders. It flittered around in a tree before flying off.....

  • Thanks..This bird is very difficult to capture and I hope that you will get a chance......to see him.

  • You sure get lucky, i don't think i ever saw one in our garden, i'm not sure i saw one ever

I could see him more in the forest?

  • Thanks Jolanda ..This happend by chance ...and I am really waiting to see whether I can see him again ..but i still couldn't....
