Buyer Beware! The Bad reputation of Sunbay has joined forces with the worst company they could possibly partner with. Custom Built personal training. AKA Atlanta Fitness Inc. With JK at Viera and Chris at Melb. These guys are all about the commissions not the members. Your first free pt. appointment is only a hardcore sales pitch to try to lock the member into a year contract. While Tony is a self-proclaimed minister he had a long affair with an employee of the gym, which when caught he repented but it's not that easy to hide behind the religious curtain. This caused a bitter divorce and a broken family of the employee of which she had two little children. Now Tony is desperate, scrambling, financially broke. I work out at this club (Melbourne) I have lived in this area for many years and, yes, this club used to be a great place with wonderful owners.It seems that lately they are playing musical management.Something is happening there and they cannot keep employees.Just found out that one of their long time employees is gone. he was the face of this gym and they say he no longer works there.This place is going down the tubes and this Shane guy and the new "manager" Kevin are going to help it go sink!

(prt3) Additionally, interview with "Club Industry" May 2010 Franklin admitted to wrong doing!! 'I did it, I'm not proud of what I did'. ~ Ok so Y do I care? I signed up for the M.I. Sunbay. watching this news report is like deja vu. I paid $ and I hear each month they will open next month, even heard the lines about "the workers will be here tomorrow", "we had permitting issues", etc. M.I. sunbay gym opening looks and feels just like the scam of the San Diego Powerhouse gym opening. imho

(prt 2) Actually Mr. Franklin was indeed found GUILTY in civil court. For issuse related to thoses mentioned in the news report. (CV0901095 Oct. 2010) Also Defamation of character is not the approprate classifation of news report either, (To be considered defamation, the claim has to be false, it has to be made as if it were true.) Memeberships were sold, money collected, and the gyms were never opened. All actual facts, therefore the news report was not a "defamation of character".

I don't normally comment but....@thedancer0906 first "he was found innocent", ...well, that's not true. 15 min orless of research on the net and you too could learn that there are open cases involving Mr. Franklin in the areas mentioned in the news report. Open cases as in charges still pending. (Dancer that means there has not been a criminal trial yet) Thus it is impossible for him to be have been "found innocent". (prt 1)

Shane Franklin was never convicted, he was found innocent. The gym in Merritt island will be open, Sunbay fitness is a reputable company and this video is plain defamation of character.

Shane Franklin does work for Sunbay Fitness. In my opinion should be fired and should be brought to trial to face the accusations (not saying they are not true) however Sunbay Fitness has been around long before this guy got involved and the owner is a great guy.

I heard that there new gym in Merritt Island is a front and just an empty building. There telling everyone that there be opening in 2012!
