Do u need a Bar-code scanner for your app?

Today we will try to use a Metrologic Voyager Bar-code scanner to scan a coke bottle, Jagermeister bottle, CT1721 Start Kit Bar code label, and yes, UPS tracking number.

@BADASSEDWIN Barcodes themselves do not set off the alarm. Electromagnetic strips do and they are sometimes hidden as part of the barcodes. Which isn't way to common.

some alarms you can just use an fridge magnet to deativate the alarm and its a tested subject

Yes, there are two thin metal strips inside a thin plastic housing that is glued inside the case. When you walk through doors the towers emit an electromagnetic wave that makes the these two pieces of metal touch, therefore setting off the alarm. I shouldn't tell you this but, there are electromagnetic devices you can build to disable the metal strips before you ever leave the building. I personally have never tried this, nor do I advise you try this because you can try it and get busted.

hey if you scan a video game bar code with the bar code scanner, and than you try to take the game with out paying it does the alarm from best buy or wal-mart still sounds?
