American automobile companies went tits up because no one intelligent outside of america wants an american car! something like 1 in 60 GM cars will have a fault where as in the case of japanese and german cars it's more like 1 in 3000 European cars are or were rather safer more economical and more practical and in my opinion attractive. GM seems to have gotten it's act together after this but i'm sticking with asia and europe thanks. also germany pays much more than america so go figure

ya sure, but the whole nation would be worse off without the auto industry. It was in everyones beast interest. We can't afford to let our major industries go under. We would be no better then a country that has nothing but little shops. No good for no one.

Gotta hand it to her...there's your problem.
Too bad someone here will merely put her down for being too young or some such. Her point is valid, and there is no argument to refute it.
