Big ass American V8 motor = Symphony Orchestra

@MaTtRoSiTy I built this engine myself. I'm talking parts alone.

However,
Ford with thier mustang is thinking of going all-wheel.
This is mostly to help the Shelby with it's 650HP and current RWD configuration.

@Mrengineerwannabe1 Lots of different things can be done to make engines produce more horsepower, but in the end higher displacement always wins out. You can build a 2L engine to produce the power of a 4L, but if you do the same things to the 4L it will smoke the 2L. You can build streetable V-8's with up to 2,000 horspower. You may like the idea of a 305HP turbo Subaru, but why wouldn't you also like the idea of a 1,000HP turbo V-8 car?
For what reason would you hate Chryslers V-8's?

nice similar set up to mine in my jet boat im making around 1200hp at 7500rpm
I do like the sound of 1000HP V8, but that seems unrealistic.
When are you ever going to to be able to use all 1000 Ponies?
I think I'll stick with my idea to lighty modd a Mustang when I get older.
Cam, Valve springs, supercharger, connecting rods, ect..

@Mrengineerwannabe1 you are right, the truth is you will never get to use all the power available in a street driven car. Traction is a massive problem that makes it not only impractical, but actually pretty dangerous on city streets. And on a wet day... forget it.

That's actually damn cheap for an engine that makes 1k horsepower. In fact, that figure makes it hard for me to buy your story. Chevrolett engines are about the cheapest out there to build, and I built a naturally aspirated small block chevy with a single 4 barrel carb that produced 739HP on the dyno, and it costed me over 20k to build. 10k for that dosn't even seem realistic.

@SteveSbc406 you are right - if you had to pay someone to do build this it would cost one hell of a lot more than this.
