This is the first time I've heard this song... I just can't believe that the academy awarded "this" instead of "Real in Rio".
Anyway perhaps this is because I don't know anything about what means a muppet...

This award was essentially created to honor songs from musicals. According to Wikipedia, thirty-five musicals came out in 1941. Do you know how many musicals came out in 2011? The answer is seven, with only four of those being released in theaters. All four are for children and three are animated films. The medium for which this award was created is dead, so the award really means nothing until and unless Hollywood starts making musicals again.

This deserves a win. "Real in Rio" is a lyrical mess with too much background. Yes we get it, it's trying to be culture. For ME TO POOP ON!!!

I hadn't heard this until today, but it definitely has Bret McKenzie written all over it. Congratulations.

I am so thrilled for the songwriter and Jason Segal that this won the Oscar. Granted, there were only two songs to choose from, but that makes it even more difficult, I think! Jason looked like he was about to cry. What a great reach back film to such a glorious world of muppets! Thanks Jason...you did the muppets SO proud!!
