  • It was noticeable but the sound is what I really liked. I have an exhaust now and it sounds even better.

  • @scoopmaster69 Sweet. Cops love ticketing people with tinted license plate covers. Are you on the Bimmerpost forum? If not, you should check it out.

  • @apocgamer

Haha right on man I just modded out my 2001 X5 with 3m film tinting all around, 3m film over the tail lights and those tinted license plate covers. I really need to fix up my 1 series lol. But dude on the real I love how when driving and cornering that I don't have to move a whole lot of car around. Also these cars are great for city driving and parking too.

  • @scoopmaster69 I'm 19 as well, I love my 1er!

  • @scoopmaster69 I'll tell you that the M3 handles predictably (in a good way) I'm 15 and all, but I can feel what the car can and can't do. It feels like it has endless grip. and the G will crush you in the bends. An M3 convertible would be fantastic, however, I have to say, convertibles usually spoil the handling a bit. I don't want to be a buzz kill or anything, but if you were looking for a hard driver, the convertible may feel wiggly in the bends. But I would take m3 over 1 series any day XD

Yeah I'm turning 19 soon but i got the 128i when i was 16 for my permit and ive loved it since. i switch off between that and a 2001 bmw x5 3.0. both cars are fantastic, but my parents say they will buy me a BMW if my grades are up to par by my jr. year of college. Not just any M3, but a convertible. =D By the way, you are very lucky to be able to drive a car like that at the age you are at now. I dream of the day I'll be behind the wheel of one.

  • @scoopmaster69 I only ask because my parents drive an M3, so that's what I'm learning stick shift on (hard as hell) but I'm gonna try and get a new 128i. We ordered a BMW already, so when we're at the dealership, we'll try and check out the 1 series.

The car corners incredibly and it has a ton of grip. When drifting in this car you have a real sense of control(even in rainy weather). I have done hairpin turns at 30 mph in my 128 convertible and when i say hairpin i actually mean it. Test drive one of these; I am very proud to own one.

  • @TheWTFers

I've got the 2008 convertible and this car's acceleration is fairly nice at medium speed. takeoff in the convertible is decent but the power really shows at around 4,000 rpm mid gear.

  • what's the fastest 0-60 you've done? and how does it corner?
