How to get a wireless Internet connection using Mac Airport enabled computer

First, shows how to get a wired connection to another computer or game console.

Second, shows you how to get wireless connection without a wireless router.

This is my first actually video, i thought alot of people might think this is helpful. Sorry for the quality it was quick so i never had time to deal with HQ. I know Mac OS all around so if you have any questions just ask.

hey, sorry to get back to you late, sorry to say i have not accomplished this for a ps3 due to the lack of owning one, i don't really have time for videos games anymore so i don't think it would be smart to buy one, and i have more important things to buy, however i do greatly enjoy video games very much. Word of advice....check out your PS3 owners manual, look for "configuring network settings or something like that. I'm guessing it has something to do with the extra settings the PS3 has.

So I have a wireless router on my PC and my Toshiba can pick up the signal can I get my Macbook Pro to pick it up without an Airport base? Should the airport on my Macbook pick up the wireless broadband connection if I enter all the information?

so you have a wireless router already set up for your pc computer i'm guessing that's what you mean. well if this is the case then yes you can get wireless on your mac aswell. Go up to to top right of your Mac screen where it shows your battery/ time and date. from there click on the curved bar upside down cone thing. If airport is not turned on then do so, after wait a moment and your wireless network should appear. If this didn't answer your question send me a vid response with your issue.

@urbanfilms1, yeah no problem. yeah thats cool, the hackintosh right. i am considering doing that when i get a acer 11.6 inch laptop, either with the as1410 or the t1810 timeline. i did quite a bit of research but wasn't able to find any information on how seamless the installation would result on these laptops, wifi, sleep mode, and stuff like tht. If you know anyone or seen it done online with these notebooks please let me know. If you have any questions about OS X, ask and i'll make a video.

Not yet. I've been told that you MUST use a router, not just the built in Airport Express network adapter. I don't know why. fortunately I have an Airport Extreme Base station that I've never set up. That is supposed to work. I'll give it a try soon.
